8 Things To Consider When Planning On Hosting An Outstanding Event

A couple of things can make or mar the experience.

1. Venue

Must be easily accessible and comfortable. Seats should be well spaced, air conditioning working, clear walk way, rest room clean and directions clear. Don't choose location only based on your convenience and budget, consider your guests to avoid no show.
Generators especially for those in Nigeria is crucial. Agree the expectations from the venue management.

2. Car parking

This can sometimes be a nightmare when guests have their cars towed by law enforcement officials or touts asking them for money. There must be adequate car parking for guests.

3. Ushers/Greeters/Serving professionals

Serving should not be visitors or guest themselves. Get well dressed folks who should serve with the appreciate apparels. Greeters and ushers should welcome and direct guests appropriately.

4. Lighting

Appropriate amount of lighting should be used. If it is too bright or dark, it affects the guests.

5. Food and drinks

The quality and quantity should be checked. No use having plenty tasteless food or small sweet food. You dig right? The appropriate drinks should also be provided.
Don't go get a stern looking uncle to watch over the drinks and leave guests thirsty. Preferably get a professional to handle this. Otherwise, a friend that is reasonable, working with those serving will do.

6. Decoration

It should be simple, neat, classy and best fit for the event. Mind the colours too.

7. Music and sound

They are usual culprits to distort the flow of the event. Get tested and trusted sound guys and Dj. Discuss choice songs with the Dj before hand to avoid embarrassing your guests or leaving them wanting.

8. Mcee/Compere

Don't go cheap or looking for a neighbor or colleague to hold fort on your event. This is one critical role as he or she will be a voice and face to remember during the event.
Engage the host before hand, check out his or her social media for past works. Pick their brain and see their level of exposure and intelligence.

This is very key as you don't want someone insulting guests in the name of jokes or going vulgar or dressing inappropriately.
Spend the extra, pick quality.
What do you think of the tips? Kindly share with someone
